What I Think Of: The Taking of Pelham 123 (2009)
Sure Travolta looks like he's channeling the assless chaps biker guy from the Village People, and sure Washington does his usual "I'm Denzel Washingtoncalm but intense good guy" role, but the Taking of Pelham 123 remake is just dumb fun. It makes very little sense, and the heist ins and outs leave a lot to the imagination, but the acting for the most part is good, the pacing of the the movie keeps building becoming quite intense, and while the directing can get very shaky, the scripts picks up the movie. I know this doesn't sound like much of a recommendation but with all its faults, I still enjoyed the film and think its better than the original. Yes, I hear you- what the hell do I know?
