What I Think Of: West Side Story (1961)
This "modern" retelling of Romeo and Juliet is definitely outdated and a tad offensive (and by tad I mean a lot). Still, no film is more manlier and there are so many pirouettes that your brain will overload trying to process all the spinning. What other movie can two gangs fight by playing leapfrog and throwing vegetables at one another? What other film will have the gangs sing to try and keep calm? This made the snapping of the fingers a musical art form. It's a terrible movie in most respects, but the execution, the themes, all equal a top notch movie.
